Red is not a color I naturally gravitate towards. In my wardrobe, I wear a lot of black (gasp! I think it's from years of working in an office) and when it comes to color, I love all shades of blue and green. I will confess, however, that I am absolutely obsessed with the color red when it comes to the exterior or interior of a home. For starters, I would DIE to have a classic, red cherry door and also one red wall in our dining room.
Trying red lipstick (snapshot below, for your viewing pleasure) for the first time was one of those "must-do-before-I-turn-27 goals." It's like a rite of passage or something. And for the record, my most-laid-back-guy-in-the-world hubby hated it. Actually, he wouldn't even go anywhere near me when he came home from work to see me wearing it. Haha!
His reaction, "Babe, wow... what is going on."
And when I asked why he didn't like it, he said I "looked" like I was wearing makeup and that he didn't want to kiss me because it would get all over him ;)
Don't you think it's kind of cute when grown men talk about makeup and other girly things? The other day Joshua reminded me when we were at Target not to forget to pick up the mascara I mentioned the other day that I needed. Too darn cute, that husband of mine.
