... yesterday was one of the most beautiful days of my life.
We heard our baby's heartbeat for the first time. And we finally saw his or her little fingers & toes, head, and body via sonogram.
There really are no words for how amazing it was!

Another little update... I wanted to wait until after our appointment to say this, but... While we were up in Phoenix for "The Civil Wars" concert last Thursday night, I felt the baby move.
We were waiting for the show to begin, and loud music was streaming through the speakers, and I felt little butterfly flutters. I looked at Joshua with a big smile and told him that "baby likes music."
Little, beautiful butterfly-like movements have been occurring daily since the concert. It's baby squirming around in there. And it's lovely.
After 13 weeks of waiting for an ultrasound, when I felt that movement, it was almost like God's sign to me that everything was okay. It was like He was saying to me, "Heather, be patient with me, I've got this. Baby is growing strong and healthy under My care and guidance. Trust me."
There was something about seeing our little one that made this all finally feel real.
It solidified that we are no longer two, but three.
I've never seen Joshua beam like that.
I want to relive that moment over and over again.
