A Little Goes A Long Way

If you sponsored my blog over the past couple of months, your monetary contributions have helped go into a fund to help my dear, wonderful friend Laura, and her husband, Josh, get to Cambodia on a trip to help end human sex trafficking with Hope for the Silent Voices. Your prayers, emails, thoughts, and contributions have not gone unnoticed. On behalf of them, and me, thank you.

I received this beautiful Cambodian purse, bracelet, money and postcards from Laura yesterday. Her and Josh are back home in Dallas now and had a WONDERFUL trip. God did amazing things during their time there and I am so honored to know this wonderful couple. I miss seeing them weekly when we were all living back in San Diego, but I'm so excited for the journey they are on right now. Thank you, again, everyone for your help and support!

Acts 20:35

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

Proverbs 19:17

Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.

Matthew 25:35-40
For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ ...

Galatians 6:2
Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Deuteronomy 15:11

For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’

"Oh, whatcha gonna do when you're watching TV
And an ad comes on, yeah you know the kind?
Flashing up pictures of a child in need
For a dime a day you could save a life

Do you call the number, reach out a hand?
Do you change the channel, call it a scam?
Or do you tell yourself

You're just a fool
Just a fool to believe you can change the world
Don't listen to 'em when they say
You're just a fool
Just a fool to believe you can change the world

Oh, the smallest thing can make all the difference
Love is alive, don't listen to 'em when they say
You're just a fool
Just a fool to believe you can change the world..."

Carrie Underwood, "Change"

"When you leave this world, will you be known as one who accumulated treasures on earth that you couldn't keep? Or will you be recognized as one who invested treasures in heaven that you couldn't lose? The more you give, the more comes back to you, because God is the greatest giver in the universe, and He won't let you out-give Him. Go ahead and try. See what happens."
