Cup Half Full: 29 Weeks + Mom's Visit

I had such a great time with my mom when she was here last week.
I was completely, 100% unable to contemplate spending Mother's Day without her for the first time since we moved out of state, so imagine my excitement when she announced to me that she had booked a flight and was coming out!?! I am so thankful that even though we do not live close anymore, it is still only an hour flight away! We had a great time enjoying my the neighborhood (swimming, walking, etc), having girl talk and just being together. I love my mom! :)

Can't believe I'm 29 weeks, scratch that, almost 30 weeks! Eeeep!
Time is starting to go really fast. I had my first episode of Braxton Hick contractions this weekend and it was not very comfortable (felt like bad PMS back pain/light cramping). At first, I thought it was scary that I was getting them this early, but a few of my mommy friends said it's really normal all throughout the 3rd trimester. I'm starting to feel my little girl squirm and kick ALL.DAY.LONG and that is so fun! She is now the size of a butternut squash. We are having our 3-D ultrasound at the end of the month and I can't wait to finally see her little face!

This weekend was so busy but a lot of fun. Friday night, we had a girls' night out to celebrate my friend Crystal's birthday. We went to dinner and then we went to go see "What To Expect When You're Expecting." It was sooo funny! I laughed the whole movie. It must have been directed from the same person that did "Bridesmaids" because it had similar humor and a lot of the same cast members. If you want to go have some laughs, grab your girlfriends and go see this movie! On Saturday and Sunday, Joshua and I worked on some house projects (painting, painting, painting... we are covering every square inch in this house and it's taking us a long time) and on Saturday night, my friend Molly hosted a private painting party at her home. An artist came and brought a whole bunch of paint, canvases and paint brushes and taught us how to paint a landscape picture with acrylics. This is how they turned out... (more pics to come). So much fun!

How was your weekend!? Did you do anything fun?
How are you finding beauty in your life? xo

Cup Half Full LinkUp Party
The goal of this link up party is to have a place where women can come each week and simply link back to posts where they find beauty in their life.

This is not a subject-specific link up party, but simply an overall theme of contented, thankful way of living. I don't really care what you want to link up, as long as it promotes a general positive, thankful, my-cup-is-half-full vibe.
  • Link up to your specific blog post, not to your blog's main page.
  • Make this an interactive link up party by trying to visit a few other blogs while you're here and stop and show them some love-- because everyone loves comments! :)
  • Grab a button or link back to this post so that your blog readers can come and join in on the fun, too!
  • Thank you for stopping by!
