I'm so excited to have Erika from Rouge & Whimsy guest posting here today! She is a super talented blogger, crafter and purse-maker (aren't these adorable!?) who I was ecstatic to meet at Creative Estates back in March! I can honestly say that we immediately hit it off and I felt like we'd been friends for years when we started talking. I so wish we could live closer to one another, but Seattle IS a wonderful place to visit :) Erika has amazing personal style and I knew she was THE girl to put together a living room inspiration design board for me since we just moved into a new house and are constantly seeking out new decorating ideas. And I adore what she put together!!! I love her blog and know you will, too-- check it out now! Thanks for being here today, Erika! xo

I am so excited to be here on Finding Beauty in the Ordinary, while Heather gets a little bit more time to put together her new house! (a quick aside-- don't you love Heather? I do -- and I can say that she is just as genuine in real life as she is in on her blog.)

While I post more regularly about fashion and diys on my blog rouge & whimsy -- another huge love of mine is home decor and I'm excited to share a little design board I put together for Heather's living room.
Heather said that she and Josh love clean lines, gray, blue and green. This is my interpretation!

1. pillows from target add a little pop of bright color
2. sectional from west elm : neutral gray sectional I thought would be perfect for their kids :)
3. floor lamp from cb2 : simple and modern-- I love floor lamps!
4. sea terrarium from sea and asters : Heather & Josh are from San Diego, so I thought they needed a little ode to the ocean in the room
5. rug from target : navy blue in a fun design
6. coffee table from crate and barrel : simple and classic-- this piece could work in many rooms
7. bubbles side table from west elm : I think every room needs a fun, conversation piece and this table definitely fits the bill!
Heather-- I hope you get some inspiration from what I put together-- I had a lot of fun searching for everything here!
