I literally had to look at my Baby Center app on my iPhone this morning to see how far along I am. Time is going by so fast. I'm due exactly 8 weeks from yesterday!! I worried that 10 months of pregnancy might be really long for me since I don't really have a "normal" job that passes the time quickly, but man, this has flown by at the speed of sound.
I'm trying to enjoy every single moment of this pregnancy because it won't be much longer before our little peanut is here. I'm currently creating a list of things that I want to do before she comes, and that I want Joshua and I to do together. Some personal goals include things like organizing photos (in-my-hand copies & on the computer) and reading some books that I've wanted to read forever. Goals for us as a couple involve getting away on a little local or semi-local babymoon, booking our maternity photos and just spending some really good quality time together.
It's definitely feeling like summer around here lately. We've been going to lots of BBQ's and dinner at friends' houses and spending time in the pool. With the heat is coming some added uncomfortablity for me, but she's pretty worth it ;)
Baby's Stats!
Baby's size:
How far along: 32 weeks! She is about 3.75 lbs and almost 17 inches long and is starting to take up a lot of space in my uterus :)
Sleep: I am really blessed to say that I very rarely wake up in the middle of the night to pee! Yay, me! I don't know if I'm just blessed from the bladder gods or what, but I'm usually able to sleep through the night most nights. Since Joshua is working at night right now, having the whole Cal King-sized bed to myself has been wonderful!
Maternity Clothes: Living in dresses! It's getting too hot now for jeans (even though I ironically wore them in the pic above).
Food cravings: I still haven't craved anything too weird. Joshua was mentioning the other day that I'm just about the most "normal" pregnant person he's ever been around when it comes to food. I haven't had a craving for pickles, or ice cream... or any of those weird cravings they say you might have like wanting to eat chalk or whatnot!
Food aversions: Just the normal food I didn't like before. Wish I had something more interesting to say!
Symptoms I have: Hip pain (sciatica) still exists but walking and swimming has been helping it. Also, having the bed to myself at night has really helped it because I'm able to sprawl out more comfortably. I'm just starting to get really, really tired and unmotivated... so much to do and not enough drive!
Doctor’s Appointment: We had a 4D appointment last week (which was amazing, pictures coming soon) and will have our routine doctor's appointment on the 19th when my mom is in town, yay! After this appointment, we should start having our routine appointments every 2 weeks now.
Movement: Full on punches, kicks, swings-- you name it. Movement has really changed in the last week. I can literally feel her body parts from the outside of my belly! Joshua and I were just laying down the other night watching a movie and we could feel her little feet! It was amazing!
Belly Button: Innie, although it looks like it might just protrude at any minute (still)!
Gender: It's a GIRL! We are so in love with her.
Best moment of the week: The 4D appointment. We also had her rocker come in from Amazon and have been slowing adding things to the nursery. It's starting to come along and planning it has been a lot of fun!
What I’m looking forward to: Both of our baby showers-- one back home in San Diego and the one here in town! My mom and my mother-in-law are flying in for it and I can't wait to celebrate.
What I miss: This week, red wine. And really strong, good, coffee that gets me all jittery.
