Hi everyone!
NO BABY YET! :)
E seems to be pretty cozy in there and we are having fun taking bets on when she will arrive.
My mom is pretty sure that I'm going into labor tomorrow night and that we'll have her on Wednesday. A few of my girlfriends thought that she'd be here today, and a few have a bet on 8/10/12 (that would be a pretty cool birthday!). I know she'll come when she's ready, and I'm surprisingly kind of patient about that right now. Last Tuesday night before Lamaze class, we got a fortune at dinner that said, "Next Wednesday will be a day of rejoicing for you!" We saved it, of course. We'll see :)
We're just waiting for things to happen. My mom flew in last Thursday and we've been having lots of girl talks, watching tv shows, going on long walks, going swimming, cleaning the house, watching E do crazy kicks and rolls (whoever said the baby slows down physical activity at the end was crazy)...
Joshua has been spending a lot of time talking to her and begging her to come out-- he is so excited to meet her! He's unfortunately been working & sleeping a lot and Hartley, too. Hartley has been sleeping at the base of E's bassinet and crib. I think the men in my life are anticipating her arrival for sure and are getting lots of sleep in preparation of what's to come!
I was joking the other day when I was packing my hospital bag and her diaper bag that it's almost like I'm preparing for battle... no idea what to expect, pretty sure it's going to be an experience... but the beautiful thing is that I get an INCREDIBLE reward at the end! I am so excited to experience labor. I know that sounds crazy but I truly am thrilled to finally know what this is all about. I am so ecstatic to see her little face! I am so glad we took a birthing class-- I really feel like it's grown our confidence in anticipation of labor and has helped Joshua especially feel more geared up for what's to come.
