wearing: lots of boots, sweaters, skinny jeans and yes, even a cowl! it's gotten really chilly here in southern Arizona and we are
soaking up all of this seasonal weather. we actually had to turn on our heater the other day! say what?!
reading: "one thousand gifts" by ann voscamp. when i have some spare time, i will admit that the last thing i want to do is read. usually i'm cleaning/organizing (yes, I'm a freak- this de-stresses me) or watching a bit of mindless tv during those breaks when eden is sleeping. but seriously... this book is incredible. i've been wanting to read it forever and finally splurged and bought it for myself the last time i was at target.
planning: my girlfriend jessica's baby shower! whoohoo! so many babies in these parts.
enjoying: autumn evening walks with my man and baby girl. lunch with good friends.
looking forward to: my parents visit next week for thanksgiving! also, a trip to san diego in january! it looks like we're going to be able to get away to enjoy new year's... cheers to hopefully having the parents babysit so we can go out with friends, pop some bubbly, and kiss at midnight (for the first time in 3 years! there's always been a work conflict in the past, bleh).
feeling: thankful for the blessing of being able to be a stay-at-home mom and watch every single momentous event of my daughter's life! almost every single day this week there has been a new "first" and i am so glad i was there to see it!
meditating on: Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
loving: these super cheap lipglosses! can't beat that price and the quality is pretty stellar for the buck.
listening to: lots of mumford & sons, florence + the machine, fun, the civil wars (did you hear the band is possibly breaking up?! ahhh!), phil wickham, chris tomlin, brooke fraser.
realizing: that i'm turning 28 in 4 months. that i have a baby. i've been married for 6 years on monday. and that i'm a mom. holy cow, i'm old.
