Sorry for the lack of updates around here. We've had a steady stream of company over the last couple of weeks, and well, since Eden's birth, to be honest. I am so thankful for friends and family that have wanted to come out from San Diego and visit our new little family. I will admit that it has been really hard to keep up with it all... Today was the first day that I've really tackled my email account since June. Isn't that wild?! June. Don't even get me started on how many emails I had.
But the one thing I'll never regret is how much time I've gotten to have with this little love bug of mine while the emails waited to be responded to... those little things can just wait. It's not a big deal in the scheme of things. God is continuing to teach me so much as a new mom. I guess I really didn't expect so many lessons to come out of this. No one can really tell you just what happens to you when your child comes out screaming and grasping for air... your whole world is truly different from that exact, immediate second. I've given up on trying to do it all, on trying to be "miss perfect." I've always been an overachiever and kind of type-A, so to just relax and let things get piled up or disorganized stretches me out of my comfort zone. It's not that my goal is to appear perfect, but more or less to just be "with the program" if you get my drift... If only you could see the tornado that is my house, you would get a picture of what's going on around here.
Eden has been a little bit more demanding with teething going on right now... overall, she is still my angel baby. There is truly nothing to complain about with this little gem. My arms are just a little bit more tired from all the cuddling she's been wanting to do lately... and that's a beautiful thing! I don't take it for granted the privilege it is to call her mine and to be with her every single day! That was truly my only desire and boy did it come true. I'm blessed!
