Well, here it is... some news I've been so excited to share for some time now!
My dear friend, Casey, along with two other bloggers I greatly respect and admire (here & here), is finally launching a blog conference! I've followed all 3 of these ladies blogs since I started reading blogs almost 3 years ago. Whether it's an encouraging and uplifting word to us tired mamas, a post that point us to Jesus, or pictures of their weekends with their families, I'm encouraged almost daily by these women.
And specifically, Casey... over a year of texting/calling/emailing back and forth as we worked together... to finally be able to meet face-to-face gets me so giddy with excitement! I remember her telling me on the phone one day last year that she wanted to do a blog conference like this. It's so cool to see this now becoming a reality!
God has really been teaching me lately how much I need to dream big and lay my dreams at His feet... how my dreams are not "too big" for Him... how it's okay to dream, it's okay, it's okay... the "realist" in me far too often doesn't even go there with my heart because, well, you know... it sucks to be disappointed.
This conference was a dream for me, too. Day in and day out, I have a relationship with my "blog friends" and readers. You aren't even my "blog friends"-- you are my FRIENDS. I am so excited to meet face-to-face, to hug, and to spend one glorious weekend praising God and sharing laughs and nerdy social media talk together! ;)
Dallas 2014, woot woot! JOIN ME, why don't you!?
// HOPE SPOKEN //
"Hope Spoken is a women's conference where we all can come to know Jesus more, and make Him known in our lives. Our conference will be filled with stories. Stories of Christ in each of our lives, and how we can use these stories for His glory. This is a weekend to rest and feel His love, to lay burdens and hurts down and feel His grace. We want to let women know that they are enough, to encourage women to use their passions, their words, and their creativity for the Lord. We, above all else, want to glorify Jesus' name and share the hope we have in Him."
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. // Romans 5:1-5
