7 Months

I think this age might just be my favorite age so far. But that feels so weird to say! For after all, I've thoroughly enjoyed each stage.... Ugh! I dunno. Perhaps I feel like this all "clicks" now. This "new motherhood" thing is down. We've got it (somewhat) figured out. We have a routine, 12 hours a night of sleep, and I no longer think about each step I'm going to take while walking into the grocery store. I've always wanted to be a mom, and although finally becoming one has been super natural, it is still a huge adjustment. I love this age for several reasons, one of them mainly being the affirmation. For months and months, I've gone through the motions and done what needs to be done to take care and to provide nourishment and comfort to this little soul and now she is looking for me and latching onto me like I am THE coolest.person.on.the.planet. It is just pure bliss when you finally get the coos and smiles and belly laughs that just tell you, "Man, I'm doing this and we're surviving and she loves me so." I have never been more happy or more in love in my life. I've never loved my husband more or thought I would want another baby this soon in the game ;)

At 7 months... Miss Eden:

-Said her first word a few weeks ago "Mama!"
- Loves bananas
- Has a total of 3 teeth and 3 coming in (eeeek!)
- Is on the verge of crawling
- Has definitely started becoming aware of when Joshua or I leave/enter a room
- Has lots of friends in the nursery on Sunday and is always greeted with an "Edennnnn!!!"

- Has taken a few naps and gone to sleep for the night (just for a few hours until we got home) in some of our friends's kids cribs... I was so proud that she slept okay and normally!
- Is crazy in love with her daddy
- Is obsessed with Hartley... the two of them will just sit on the floor and play together for an hour
- Loves going on walks, swinging on the swing, meeting friends for walks around the lake and being outside
- Will babble along during worship on Sundays (what a joy!)
- Adores it when Joshua throws her up in the air
- Loves playing with my makeup brushes
- Loves lemons
- Looks great in blue
- Is a happy, healthy, wonderfully happy baby who is a great sleeper and eater! We couldn't have asked for more!

I am so blessed that she's mine! Happy 7 months, sweet baby girl! xo
