Hello there! I'm linking up today with some of the amazing women that are going to the HopeSpoken conference in Dallas next March! Here is a little bit about me! Can't wait to meet you girls!
Hi, my name is Heather and this is my little space where I love to share tidbits about my family, faith, motherhood & adventures. My husband and I moved from California to Arizona in May 2011 and I started this blog to document our new journey for our family and friends. It has turned into something I never thought it would-- not only a place to document life but a whole community of sisters. Blogging has changed my life and I believe everyone should write a blog!
I will be honest that even though I am naturally an extrovert, the older I get the more introverted I have noticed myself becoming. The thought of getting on a plane and spending an entire weekend with over 250 women I have never even met in real life is kind of scary. Especially after the last horrible blogging conference I went to... HAHA!!! (you can read a great re-cap here) ;) I am confident that this will be nothing like that experience, however, and I am really so excited to meet friends and bring this online community to life!
I am also super excited to finally meet Casey after working with her awhile back... she is such a gem! I miss our day-to-day interaction and am so excited to finally hug her! I am also looking forward to experiencing a full weekend away by myself-- to hop on a plane and go somewhere I have never been and to just enjoy time focusing on me and who God has made me. And let's be honest here-- a weekend away from motherhood duties like making meals, caring for an infant and changing diapers? I love my baby girl but I need a break! :) I am hoping to take away refreshment for my soul, some quality time with Jesus, and some wonderful, intimate moments with other women who love God and are passionate about Him, too!
I am a pretty ordinary girl so finding something random or fun about myself seems odd to even think about... but I will say that I just ate a hard-boiled egg for the very first time about a month ago and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I guess the smell of them has always turned me off so bad that they weren't even worth trying, but alas! I was looking for ways to add protein to my diet and voila! the idea of them popped into my head and now I am a believer. Especially with the pre-cooked ones that are already shelled from Costco that are like $3 for 24! Amen!
