Today we celebrate 7 years of marriage.
I feel humbled that we have made it where we are today. If you know anything about our testimony and our story, it hasn't been an easy road. Marriage takes a lot of work and a lot of selflessness. I find that it is a daily refining process. Despite all of the hard times, there has been a heck of a lot more good! I am happy that I married my best friend... sounds so cliche` but it's true. We have so much fun together. He's my biggest confidant and cheerleader. I can't image doing life without this guy!
A few words of "advice" we got on our wedding day: always consider the needs of the other above your own, take your time having kids, always keep laughing, and always keep God #1 in your lives and pray together every night. I feel like we really tried to keep to all of those pieces of advice and one of my favorite times of the day is when we pray together. I feel like I fell in love with Joshua the first time I heard him pray... he is a prayer warrior and filled with so much faith and dreams. He always encourages me to drop my type-A, control freak personality and just let go and let God. He always jokes that I even make plans because God always has a funny way of changing them.
Happy anniversary, Joshua! I love you more each day. I have enjoyed traveling the world with you and making memories with you each day. You are an amazing husband and father! Eden and I love you to the moon and back! xo
