Just wanted to say "Happy September!!" from the sunshine state.
I can't believe we are only weeks away from boots, colder winds, trips to the snow, and Christmas music. I'm ready for it, are you?!
Over here, sunshine is actually sparse these days. Trips to the pool to work on my tan have been replaced by staying indoors with a good book and a cup of loose leaf brewed tea (thanks, Mom!) while taking in the sounds of thunder and torrential downpour.
Last night, it poured for hours. But afterwards, the sky turned pink and purple and the sun started shining on all of us again. When it rains here, all the toads come out of hiding. Hartley, little Madeline (my adorable next door neighbor that I'm contemplating kidnapping and saying she's mine, well not really, but ya know) and I ran outdoors to play in the fresh, last-day-of-summer air, catch toads, run through the puddles, and say goodbye to August.
