We've been waiting for some good, true monsoon weather and it finally happened. The weather was like nothing I have ever seen before... so us San Diegans were kind of freaking out a bit, haha! I have never, ever heard thunder so painfully loud.
Joshua and I really enjoyed having a good excuse to stay inside, relax and be lazy little lovers :) We got out plenty of times though... a few times just to jump in the car and go chase the storms. We got caught in a major hailstorm and had to find shelter at the Shell station for about 15 minutes to wait for it to pass, thinking it might damage our car! Joshua threw our nifty "camera raincoat" on the camera and got an awesome shot of the lightning... isn't it rad?! I told you he was an amazing photographer.
Plenty of trips to the park were made to get some energy out of Hartley once the rain subsided-- he loves to chase tennis balls :) I also visited a friend's church yesterday why hubs was at work and then went shopping and to lunch with a few girlfriends. I can't remember the last time I did that... it was great. Then we went over to some friends/coworkers' house to watch football (guess who we root for?!), drink Squirt + Patron (yummmmm) and celebrate a birthday. Oh and Hartley got to see his lover... Coco. They are soooo crazy about each other ;)

How was your weekend?! :)
