Hi and happy Saturday! Joshua and I have been cooped up almost all weekend due to massive downpour and crazy loud thunder... we've had some hail, and tornado warnings... Yes, here in AZ, yikes! Monsoon season is in full effect! I L.O.V.E. it! Oh, and while we were out trying to capture pictures of the lightning via camera, we walked into the house to find Hartley like this...
He is NOT allowed on the couch! (But how do I not take a pic when he looks that cute?!) Maybe he's a future blogger? Ha ha.
I wanted to share a little thanks today to all of you sweet new blog friends!
Seriously, wow, I am just flabbergasted. I started this online space as simply a place to share my thoughts and update friends and family on our life after our move from CA to AZ. It's only been a short amount of time, but this little adventure has already changed my life.
There is a common thread in all of us...no matter where we are at in the globe. This blog has helped me feel less alone as I've charted across unknown waters in the last couple of months... I have met so many other women who are in the exact same boat as me. They have encouraged me. They have challenged me to make sure to swipe on mascara and get out of my sweats and still look sexy for my man, even when I'm feeling homesick. They have strengthened my relationship with God and have asked how my Bible reading is going. They have made me feel normal as they have encouraged me by their transparent, real accounts of their every day life: the good, the mundane, the beautiful, and the tiresome. We are all the same.

I am thankful for the late night entertainment via Twitter (thanks, Meredith, Ruthie & Mrs T). I have been blessed by emails from women who have read something I've posted via blog or Twitter and have simple felt compelled to email me and ask for specific prayer requests. I've been blown away by simple acts of love like that. It really just goes to show how incredibly impactful a response can be.
I have loved meeting people from all over the globe, I have enjoyed seeing the connections between other bloggers, and I have been blessed by these newly formed relationships. I can't thank you ladies enough for your encouragement. In a season of my life where Joshua and I still have yet to find a home church family, I feel like I have had "fellowship" on here on an almost daily basis and I thank you for that :)
Two special ladies have blessed me this week with "The Versatile Blogger" award-- Kelly over at Fly With Me and Melissa at Among the Evergreens. Thanks, ladies! :)

The rules after accepting the Versatile Blogger Award are:
1. Thank the person who gave the award and link back to them in your post.
2. Share 7 things about yourself (oh great, I just shared 26 random things about me yesterday, haha!).
3. Pass this award along to up to 15 recently discovered blogs.
My Seven Things:
1.) I was so indecisive about my taste in wedding rings that my husband proposed with the wedding band instead of an engagement ring. It actually ended up being a brilliant idea because I was able to design the ring with him. I got to see the finished product for the first time on our wedding day!
2.) Our puppy, Hartley, is named after a street in our neighborhood... we figured that no matter where we move in our future, we will always have his name as a reminder of our first home in AZ.
2.) Our puppy, Hartley, is named after a street in our neighborhood... we figured that no matter where we move in our future, we will always have his name as a reminder of our first home in AZ.
3.) I do not eat seafood, and I really wish I did because it is so darn good for you.
4.) The worst job I've ever had was in the most beautiful location (14th floor of a law firm in downtown San Diego)... the best job I ever had was in the dirtiest-- making coffee and covered in syrup at Starbucks... It just goes to show it's not what you do, it's who you're with!
5.) I am the oldest of 2 and my sibling is a brother... my husband is the youngest of 2 and his sibling is a sister. I think this is why our transition into marriage was so easy, haha!
6.) I am a sugaraholic... it's my weakness!
7.) Last year, Joshua and I hiked the NaPali Coast in Kauai... it was the most incredible thing I've ever done.
The Blogs that I am picking to pass the award to are:
Love you all and thanks so much for joining in on my little journey!
P.S. Here's a little video of our stir-crazy dog...
