[The Time I Pretended I Was A Food Critic]

So after exploring all day on Saturday, we came home to relax and watch some movies. Maybe take a nap, and you know, do the who "be lazy" thing. After a few minutes of sitting on the couch, I looked over at my dear, sweet husband. We were both on our phones, scouring through pages on the Internet and looking at everyone else's lives. Lame-o. We laughed over it.

So what did hubby say? "Babe, get dressed, we're going out. Again."
"That's plenty fine with me, my dear." I replied.
Well, not really... more like, "Excuse me, we just got home? What is wrong with you?"

So we got all dressed up and went out on a fancy, schmancy date. The kind where you don't wear the usual jeans and flip flops. We landed at a place we've been hearing great things about-- The Abbey. I can not begin to say enough about this place. It was hands down, probably the best food I've ever had in my life. We both got steak with asparagus and it also came with onion rings. Gah! So tasty.
Also, while I'm here... just a little story for you. It's a good one. While at dinner, I got to pretend I was a food critic for the night. Backing up a bit-- So we went into the restaurant, the waitress led us to our table, we sat down, and I started taking pictures. Of the chalkboard, specifically (I'm obessed). This couple next to us, super snotty and rude looking, started giving us all these dirty looks and kept looking us up and down and what not. I figured it was because I was taking pictures, but hubby seemed to think that they were just on a miserable first-date-gone-wrong. Or maybe it's because we're super lovey-dovey? Some people can't take watching it, I guess? I mean, we're not inappropriate or anything. Whatever. So, since they were seated relatively close to us, I started going on and on about how fabulous the food was, how I was so excited to put these pictures on my blog (true!) and how I just couldn't wait to tell everyone at work about this place. Should we give it 3 stars, 5? I was a food critic that night. Well, at least I pretended to be. And when the food came, we joked about how cool it was that it was comped from my employers... hahaha! If only.

Oh, and in other news, guess what...

Don't be jealous.
