Guest Post: Thankful to be Addy's Mom from Katie of Life in the 505

I'm so blessed to have the lovely Katie here today from Life in the 505.
She was one of my very first blog friends & I just love her beautiful little family.
Isn't her daughter THE. CUTEST?!
I don't think I would get anything done all day if I had her to stare at! SO cute!! :)

Hello Heather's readers and Happy Thanksgiving! I am so excited to be doing a Thanksgiving swap with Heather. She is one of my favorite bloggers!

On March 8th, 2011, I waddled into my General Manager's office for an interview that I had been preparing for for months. I was 38 weeks pregnant and my job was being eliminated. I, along with hundreds of other sales employees, had to go through the grueling process of obtaining a new job with the company. I had sat through several meetings, created many sample questions, endured two mock interviews and lost countless hours of sleep over a job that, if I were being totally honest, I didn't even want.

The following day, at 6:39 pm, Adelyne Grace Danner was born.

On March 9th, 2011 I became Addy's Mom.

I love being Addy's Mom.
It's the best job I've ever had.
This is the job I really wanted.

As it turns out, I didn't get that other job and never once have I wished that I did. The money would be nice, of course, but I would miss this face.

So this Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for

Little Gerber Faces,

A very hard working hubby who is just as thankful that I am able to stay home,

Baby Giggles,

The job I didn't get,

Sweet Potato Smiles,

Friends who understand it's not always easy,

Hands that tug on my pant legs

and everyday spent with sweet Adelyne.

This year I am thankful to be Addy's Mom.
