I have SO much to be grateful for, but I am finding extreme gratitude in all of the seemingly simple blessings in my life. It has been an interesting year for my little family and I am so thankful to be getting back to our 'normal' :)

I LOVE the holidays! We have a lot of family around and my favorite thing about the holidays is getting together with them. I am big on traditions so all things we have done my whole life during the holidays are very special to me and I love now experiencing them with my own kids!

What are you thankful for?
I'm eternally grateful for my God who daily provides. My life changed significantly in September - my husband and I became first time "parents" to three foster boys, and I started a work-from-home business. God has blessed RDD and used it to provide not only for our needs, but also for some of our wants. Praise His Name!
Any plans for the holidays?
This Thanksgiving we are celebrating my favorite holiday three times. As always, we'll be celebrating at my mom and dad's. We'll also be taking our foster boys to spend time with their maternal grandmother on Friday. And it wouldn't be Thanksgiving for them if they didn't get to see their dad and other grandparents, now would it? You know the phrase, "Gobble til you wobble"? Yep - that'll be me! I’m thankful for a husband who loves me, a God who cares and guides me, friends who support me, and my very first (owned, not rented) home!!!

I'm constantly amazed at how blessed I am to live in a place where I can pursue my dreams, where even when I don't make much I can still help others, and where I have access to so much knowledge all the time! I am so thankful that I have these things and a wonderful supportive network of family and friends that allows me to keep doing what I love.
Any plans for the holidays?
Thanksgiving at my house: Nanny's German whitebread stuffing, turkey breast and gravy from the drippings, and Aunt Cindy's mashed potatoes. All served alongside some Fightin' Texas Aggie Football (as we play our longtime rivals for the last time this year and win! Whoop!).

I am eternally thankful for my wonderful family and my friends, both in real life and in the blog-o-verse. I am also thankful for good health, for happiness, for the opportunity to live on this beautiful Earth, and for lovely fall weather that lets me wear cute boots. :]

Hanging out with the family, putting up the Christmas tree, and stuffing myself full of tasty food. Sounds like a good holiday to me. :)

I am thankful for my hubs - Mr. Beard, my amazing community of friends, and the opportunities that I have been given to work within my passions every day. I am thankful for legacy-leavers (I feature them in a weekly column called What's Hip Wednesday), and people who are going against the grain of "what's hip" in our North American culture to radically follow Jesus in living-out-the-kingdom ways (versus living-out-religion). I'm also thankful that you don't have to be a LAME-O to be passionate for Christ.
Any plans for the holidays?
Wellllllllllll........ because I am Canadian, we already celebrated Thanksgiving. (You guys....that was like, SOOO last month ;). Even though my weekend consists of no holiday (sad face), I just got home from a 5 week out-of-town contract (I'm a freelance musician) and so I plan on spending mega time with Mr. Beard and our friends here in Toronto.
But I am slightly jealous of the pumpkin pie you will all be eating!!!!!!!!!!
