How would you describe your blog?
My blog is a place where I share my adventures as a newlywed living in a new state, the joys and pains of grad school, and little bits of home management advice and inspiration along the way. Mostly, it's an outlet where my I share about my faith in Jesus to encourage other women.
What is your favorite aspect about blogging?
I love lots of things about blogging... keeping our families updated about our life in Arizona, meeting other amazing bloggers {like Heather, my first blog friend!}, and getting to learn new decorating ideas, recipes and organization tips from other women. Mostly, though, I love being able to write creatively, since I spend so much time writing academic papers for grad school. Blog writing is relaxing for me!
It's almost Thanksgiving. What are you thankful for?
Lots of things to be thankful for this year... but especially for feeling so plugged into our new community. We've been here for just over a year and are extremely thankful for our jobs, our church, and all the friends we've made so quickly since arriving to Arizona.
Any special plans for the holiday?
Micah and I are going to NORTH DAKOTA of all places. We will be with Micah's family celebrating both Thanksgiving and his grandfather's 85th birthday. I get to meet all of Micah's cousins from the Midwest and wear coats and scarves and other clothes I haven't seen since moving to the desert. I hope it's cold but not toooo cold!
What is your favorite Thanksgiving tradition?
My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is probably going around in a circle before dinner and saying one thing we are most thankful for over the past year. And pie. I really like pie! :)
