Some Of My Favorite Nursery Designs and Baby Items

I've been so overwhelmed with appreciation over the past couple of weeks as emails and comments have flowed in from kind readers like you that are just as excited as us about our little peanut! It's a really humbling feeling to receive so much love like this! We feel so blessed. It's so amazing to see how loved our little one is already!

Now that I'm almost out of the first trimester (tomorrow!), I'm finally starting to feel normal after weeks and weeks of constant nausea. It's such a wild thing to feel your body go through such a complete transformation. Other than peeing the average of 6 times in the middle of the night, and occasional heartburn, right now my biggest pregnancy symptom has been an immense amount of pain in my hips. They are getting ready for labor, holla! I'm looking into some prenatal yoga studios around here and am planning on signing up when we get home from our trip to San Diego this weekend-- hoping that will help!

(I promise I will have better quality pics moving forward!)

I don't think I've mentioned it here yet, but we are not finding out the sex of the baby! So hearing it's first cry and hearing "It's a BOY!" or "It's a GIRL" is going to be a crazy, wild, amazing experience for us. Of course, this is testing my control issues and I know it will be hard to plan some things, but overall, I'm actually really excited about waiting. No one on either side of our families has ever found out so we are trying to keep that tradition going.

The other thing I'm discovering when I look at baby items at Babies 'R Us, Gymboree and Target is that I don't like a lot of stuff out there! Eeeek! I'm not really into big, bright colors. I prefer a more neutral approach anyway, so I know this will work in my favor with planning a gender-neutral nursery. I have a feeling I will find most of the stuff for the nursery off of Etsy. Both Joshua and I love the idea of gray walls which works for either a boy or a girl. And then when the baby comes, we can gradually incorporate more feminine or masculine aspects to it.

Here are some of my favorite "wanted" baby items right now!

I've been obsessed with that Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag since I've seen it on a few popular bloggers' pages... EEEEP! So gorgeous.

Sooooo.... We'd love to know what YOU think we're having! A boy or a girl? Click on the poll up on the top left and let us know! :)
