Hi everyone! I'm so excited you're here today and hopefully you are joining in on the fun that we have in store today with the "Inspirational Blog Hop"! Courtney, Ashley and I hope that this blog hop is a fun experience where we can all come together and write about what we are inspired by (an image, place, etc) and/or who or what has inspired us in the blogging community. You can join any of your hostesses by linking to any of our sites. By simply posting your link, you will gain coverage on each of our sites (1800 readers +) and hopefully meet some new friends in the process!

I'm mainly going to be talking about PEOPLE today. People are what inspire me. I'm a "people person." I get energized by others and am highly affected (both positively and negatively sometimes) by interacting with other human beings (whether that's face to face, on the phone, or virtually).
The first person that inspires me is Jesus. It's when I read the Bible, journal, or spend time in prayer that I'm completely overwhelmed by what an amazing man He is. The Creator of the world. The one who gives life and takes it. Jesus inspires me to love, to show kindness, to be a better wife and friend, and one day-- a mother.

Of course, my husband inspires me. He is the most patient, forgiving, hard-working, generous man I know. He never complains, always has something positive to say, always sees the silver lining, always encourages me to have faith in God that things will work out, and usually always sees the best in others. His faith overwhelms me. I sometimes get annoyed by hearing, "Just have faith, Heather" when he says it. I am so type-A and such a realist that it's hard for me to dream about things that I don't see. He inspires me to do that.

The other person that I specifically am inspired by is my mom. She's an incrediblely smart woman (MBA in Nutritional Sciences) who sacrificed a lot for me and my brother growing up. It was when I was in 5th grade, and things were going south at the Christian school I was attending, that her and my dad prayed about it and decided to home-school us. It was an awesome experience, but a lot of sacrifice on her part. She played wife, mother, teacher, confidant and more in my life. I'm so excited to see her become a grandma :)
Nature inspires me. I can tell when I haven't been outside enough; I start to get really crabby and moody. Growing up, we went on endless adventures of camping, sailing, hiking-- you name it. It's in my blood. It's when I'm outside that I'm truly inspired to create and re-focus.
And lastly, I have to throw this out there. Other bloggers have truly inspired me. I am so overwhelmed by the community I've found in the blogging community. Whether we've met face to face, or just virtually, I'm constantly inspired by artists, graphic designers, etc. Their heart for others amazes me. I feel like we are all the same kind of people (creative communicators), just unfortunately world's apart sometimes. One inparticular blogger that has inspired me has been my girl Casey. We work together on a day-to-day basis and I have never once tired from hearing her voice on the phone, receiving an email/text from her or working for her. She loves others well, and it shows. She inspires me to love richly.
What inspires you? Is it a person, an image, another blogger/photographer, or a place?
Come link up and let us know! I can't wait to read what you have to say :) Have an inspiring day! xo
