So many "firsts" have happened this week.
First time meeting Eden.
First time breastfeeding.
First time Eden met grandparents, relatives and friends.
First pediatrian appointment.
First time I used a changing table.
First time Joshua read the Bible to Eden (when she was there and not in my tummy).
First time using the stroller.
First blowout :)
First walk around the lake.
First bath.
So many more firsts.
A part of me feels sad when the firsts come and go, because it means they are over. But then again, it's not really ending-- it's just beginning. We are so blessed with this little angel baby. She is truly remarkable! I don't know how we got so blessed with such a great eater and sleeper (knock on wood)! It makes for a happy mom & dad :)
In the past week, we have already gone to 2 malls, to Costco, on 2 walks, to 2 pediatrician appointments, and celebrated a wonderful birthday lunch for Joshua's 30th. I didn't think I'd be so active after giving birth to Eden, but it's helped break up the monotony of feed/change diaper/feed/change diaper. Oh man, that girl can eat! Yay! I love being a mom and it really is the most natural thing in the world for me. I also love seeing Joshua be a dad. He's taken such good care of me this week. I love seeing my parents become grandparents and my brother become an uncle. We are all so in love :)
Are you a new momma or a seasoned mama that can share some words of wisdom for the first couple of weeks? Joshua goes back to work soon... pray for me ;) xo
