My baby girl turned 2-weeks-old yesterday. The time is going by at a good speed. I don't feel like it's gone by too fast. I attribute that to the fact that I've tried to listen to the advice of my friends, family & blog friends: enjoy every moment and let everything else fall by the wayside. I might have piles of laundry and unopened mail on my counter, but snuggling with my baby girl takes priority. She'll only be this small for so long. It's a hard juggle, though, and I'm making mistakes & learning along the way. Being a mom is more than a full-time job. It's never-ending. But it's so worth it.
Yesterday, Joshua was off of work and we took Eden's newborn photos. It was quite the task. It took about 5 hours total. We started the photos during nap time, to try to capture those sleeping photos, but we only got a few before she woke up and wanted more milk :) Then we had to change a diaper, snuggle her some more, lay her back down.... it was quite an adventure! The result was worth it. I'll cherish these photos of our little beauty forever.
