AUTUMN. The months to come are my favorite. I feel like there is a lot of "togetherness" during the holidays. Perhaps that's why it's my favorite. Baking, decorating, cuddling, going to holiday events & getting festive... I'm gonna take it all in this year (although it will definitely be bittersweet being in a new town). My hubby informed me not too long ago that this new city we recently moved to will actually get very cold here in the winter and that snow will eventually appear on the mountains that surround us. I didn't believe him at first. Here in AZ?! I think I might have shed a few tears with that heavenly news. Another reason I love fall... We're celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary in November. Kind of a big deal, right?! :)
"And even when the trees have just surrendered
To the harvest time
Forfeiting their leaves in late September
And sending us inside
Still I notice You when change begins
And I am braced for colder winds
I will offer thanks for what has been and what's to come
You are autumn..."
